Giving the floor to the young people

Junior and senior high school students contributed to shaping the agenda for the panel discussion on “IQonomy: A future of progress and sustainability through financial literacy”. This was the 1st panel discussion on education ever taking place in Delphi and was scheduled for 11.04.2024.

Panel moderator Georgios Vagiatas used his social media to ask young people to send questions on financial literacy. Teachers from schools in the Delphi area did the same. The purpose was to compile a list of questions for the panelists, so they could comment on what truly is of interest to the new generation.

Actions focusing on the new generation

Organising this panel discussion complements our ESG initiatives fostering financial literacy and circular economy for young people.

The purpose of the panel was to give answers to young people’s questions and inform them on programmes that could prove useful, such as:

  • ABCs of Financials  – Partnering with ActionAid, we help students become familiar with key economic terms and learn how to manage day-to-day financial matters.
  • Circular economy in action  – Jointly with SciCo, we give children the chance to cultivate their environmental awareness and come into contact with green entrepreneurship.
  • myAlpha Vibe  – With our new innovative product for pocket money online, teenagers learn how to manage their money using modern payment methods.

Giorgos Vagiatas, YouTuber and content creator, moderated the discussion. The panel comprised executives who have previously engaged in financial literacy initiatives for young people:

Students living in Delphi, Amfissa and Itea who participated in our financial literacy actions during the Global Money Week attended the panel discussion in person. This way they had the chance to put questions to the panellists and engage in a fascinating conversation.
