Alpha Bank participates in the Delphi Economic Forum IX

For yet another year, we participated as a Gold Sponsor in the Delphi Economic Forum, joining this landmark event where representatives and executives in the fields of politics, business, international relations and civil society meet to exchange ideas. 

The event took place on 10-13 April 2024. Members of our management team and senior executives contributed to the discussion, by joining discussion panels on the economy, the banking sector, sustainable development and finance, emerging technologies and the future of employment.

This year the event focused on 6 thematic pillars: geopolitics, planet, sustainable economy and finance, future, education and people.

On Wednesday 10.04.2024 at 18:40, Alpha Bank Board Chair Vassileios Rapanos participated in the panel “Restoration of Democracy: The Greek Economy over the years and the lessons learnt”, highlighting the historical reasons and shortcomings that prevented Greece from overcoming the financial crisis as fast as other countries did.

On Friday 12.04.2024 at 19:05, Alpha Bank CEO Vassilis Psaltis joined the roundtable discussion on “Engines for growth: Is the production model for Greece changing?” underlining the need for a new business culture and production model.

The “IQonomy: A future of progress and sustainability through financial literacy” panel discussion is the 1st session to take place in Delphi on the subject of education. Junior and senior high-school students contribute to shaping the agenda by raising their questions beforehand.

Students living in Delphi, Amfissa and Itea who participated in our financial literacy actions during the Global Money Week  will also attend the panel discussion.

The discussion on 11.04.2024 will be moderated by comedian and content creator Georgios Vagiatas. The panel comprises 5 executives from Alpha Bank, SciCo, ActionAid Hellas and Mastercard, who have engaged in initiatives relating the financial literacy of the young generation.
